Thookudurai Movie Critique: Thookudurai is peppered with references to Ajith, including its title borrowed from the actor's character in the 2019 film, Viswasam. It seems the filmmakers relied on these nods to a popular star to draw audiences, but unfortunately, they fail to salvage this horror comedy. While the film starts with promise, it quickly disappoints, with only a few jokes landing well, thanks mostly to the talented cast rather than the script itself. While aiming for an intentionally exaggerated tone, Thookudurai suffers from a lack of coherence in storytelling, leaving viewers feeling lost amidst the chaotic narrative. While Yogi Babu delivers his trademark humor, his presence alone isn't enough to save the film from its shortcomings.
