### Introduction to the Story
Kushal, a jovial individual, recently graduated with a diploma in civil engineering and sets out to establish his independence by joining a construction company.
### Unfolding of Events
One rainy night, Kushal finds himself in a precarious situation, narrowly saved by Dilmaya (portrayed by Spandana Somanna), sparking an immediate attraction. Despite his impulsive marriage proposal, Dilmaya outright rejects him.
However, fate intervenes when Kushal coincidentally joins the same company as Dilmaya. As they collaborate professionally, their connection deepens, eventually leading to Dilmaya accepting Kushal's proposal. They embark on a journey to nurture their relationship.
### Unexpected Turn of Events
Their happiness is short-lived when Kushal's family arranges his marriage with his childhood crush, Nandini. Learning about this, Dilmaya decides to end their relationship and return to her hometown in Madikeri.
### Conclusion and Critique
"Dil Kush" follows a conventional storyline commonly seen in Sandalwood films but lacks conviction and suffers from poor writing that fails to captivate the audience. The predictable plot offers little novelty. Although newcomers Ranjeeth and Spandana deliver commendable performances, seasoned actors Raghayana Raghu and Aruna Balraj provide some relief. However, comedic sequences by Dharamanna Kadur fall flat, and even the songs fail to make a lasting impression.
